Cigarette butts make up the largest portion of waste on Brazilian beaches, causing serious harm to the environment and marine life. In an effort to help solve part of this problem, Bem Bolado Brasil partnered with Poiato Recicla—the first cigarette recycling initiative in Brazil.
In addition to creating awareness-driven content, we installed butt collection boxes and ashtray totems on the beaches of São Paulo's North Coast.
AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS &
INFLUENCER MARKETING
Following a year of active partnership on the beaches of São Paulo's North Coast, the collaboration with Poiato Recicla evolved into a digital content series.
I was responsible for the curation of artists for the project and coordinated all communication and collaboration between them and the creative team, ensuring alignment with the campaign’s goals and timelines.
The initiative highlighted the importance of sustainability and gave new meaning and visibility to recycled materials through art and storytelling.

QUEBRADINHA BEM BOLADA
Marcelino (Nenê) is the multi-artist and art educator behind the Quebradinhas. Bem Bolado Brasil invited Nenê to create a special Quebradinha Bem Bolada using an unexpected material: paper recycled from cigarette butts. Check out the result in the video.

BEATUCA
Biscoito Senô, known as the "Brazilian Inspector Gadget," is a creative content maker and digital artist who gained fame for transforming a Fiat Uno into a luxury car.
In collaboration with Bem Bolado Brasil, he embarked on an innovative project: constructing a powerful speaker entirely covered with recycled cigarette butts. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about sustainability and the potential of recycled materials.
To document this creative process, an 8-episode video series was developed, showcasing each step of the project. The series highlights the challenges and ingenuity involved in repurposing waste into functional art.
HEMP BOARD
Caio Teixeira, a professional longboard surfer from Cabo Frio, has a deep connection with surfing that dates back to his childhood. He also runs a workshop where he designs surfboards.
For this project, Caio used cigarette recycled waste and hemp fabric to create two exclusive surfboards. The entire process was documented in a 6-episode video series, shared on the brand's social media platforms, with the goal of educating, raising awareness, and connecting with the lifestyle behind the project.
